2020 Cross Country

Monday, October 26, the ACAA sponsored State Cross Country Meet

This year turned out to be a great day of races. The City of Huntsville graciously allowed the use of the John Hunt Cross Country Course. The course was meticulously marked with ample space for runners and spectators. We got some positive feedback from those in attendance:

Happy to be there! We love working with you guys and your teams are always much more well behaved than the meets we normally go to.

Varsity Volleyball

Congratulations to the 8 teams that played in this season’s ACAA Varsity Volleyball Tournament:  Chilton, Cornerstone (D), New Life, Providence, Tabernacle, Trinity, Tuscaloosa, Victory (M)

The 2020 ACAA Volleyball State Champions are the Lady Warriors of Tuscaloosa Christian.  They defeated a hard working team of Lady Cougars from Cornerstone Christian – Cornerstone worked their way through the loser’s bracket after losing to Victory on Friday.

New Junior High Volleyball State Champions

Congratulations to the teams that were able to play in the Junior High Volleyball Tournament hosted by Tuscaloosa Christian School on October 17, 2020!  It was a full day of volleyball and it is always exciting to see a team work their way back after losing a game early and make it to the finals!  If you’re a Victory Christian Lady Eagle from Millbrook, you’re even more excited that you didn’t just MAKE it to the finals, you went home with the championship trophy!

Junior High Volleyball Tournament

Due to Covid-19/quarantining, this year’s Junior High Volleyball Tournament will be done differently than it has been done in the past.

There will not be Regional Tournaments this year.  The goal of ACAA is for those participating in and attending our athletic events to be able to minimize possible exposure to the Covid virus.  The top 6 teams will be playing in a one day tournament.

Tuscaloosa Christian School will host this year’s ACAA Junior High Volleyball Tournament October 17, 2020.

Please be sure to remember the requirements for attending events – wear a mask and maintain social distancing as much as possible.  If your team is not playing, please consider the teams that are playing and allow them sufficient room.

Reporting Scores

Coaches, Athletic Secretaries, and Athletic Directors make sure scores are being reported promptly.

Scores for volleyball should be submitted to Donna Doss at acea2000@bellsouth.net every Monday (unless you submit scores after every game).

Scores for football should be submitted to Pam Cason at pamcasonacaa@gmail.com as soon as possible following your games.

Failure to promptly report scores causes records to be inaccurate.
